Bethesda, MD – Today, in an unprecedented display of unity, the African American Democratic Club (AADCMC), the Hispanic Democratic Club (HDC), and the Coalition for Asian Pacific American Democrats of Maryland (CAPAD-MD) released its list of endorsed candidates for the September 14, 2010 Democratic primary.

With the Sept. 14 primary just around the corner, it's time to start talking issues.

While there are plenty of issues that state delegates will have to deal with this year (including the Purple Line and the state budget), I've been a long-time advocate of women's rights. Too often, candidates come off lukewarm on one of the greatest equality struggles of our lifetime — gender.

Kyle Lierman will not take this issue lightly. He believes in taking on domestic violence by making it easier for its victims to acquire protective orders, streamlining the path to domestic security.

Not what you might expect from a 23-year-old business major who less than a year ago was still hitting the books at George Washington University.

August 16, 2010 — Three Montgomery County Democratic groups – the Coalition of Asian Pacific American Democrats of Maryland, the Montgomery County Green Democrats, and the Hispanic Democratic Club – have announced their support for Kyle Lierman’s campaign for Delegate in District 16, and have encouraged their members to do the same.

BETHESDA, August 16, 2010 — Today, the Kyle Lierman for Delegate campaign announced that it had raised $106,571 to date from over 475 individual contributors.

“I am extremely grateful to the hundreds of supporters who have so generously donated to my campaign,” said Lierman. “Everywhere I go in District 16, I hear voters expressing a desire for action and progress in Annapolis. That is why I am running for Delegate: to be an active and effective leader, pushing for bold reforms.”

AUGUST 11, 2010 — Aaron Kaufman today endorsed Kyle Lierman’s candidacy for Delegate in Maryland’s 16th District. Kaufman pointed to Kyle’s long-time activism with the Democratic Party and his pledge to raise the alcohol tax a dime-a-drink to fund programs for the disabled.

$16 for a District 16 Canvasser

Thanks to you, our campaign is currently the strongest grassroots force in District 16. The earlier success of $16 for 16 donor drive helped us earn more contributors than any other campaign in the contest for the Democratic Primary.

Now, with less than three weeks to go until the election on September 14, we are increasing our outreach to voters in the District. Dozens of volunteers are knocking on doors for Kyle and we need your help to equip them with the supplies and resources they need to be successful.
