With the Sept. 14 primary just around the corner, it's time to start talking issues.

While there are plenty of issues that state delegates will have to deal with this year (including the Purple Line and the state budget), I've been a long-time advocate of women's rights. Too often, candidates come off lukewarm on one of the greatest equality struggles of our lifetime — gender.

Kyle Lierman will not take this issue lightly. He believes in taking on domestic violence by making it easier for its victims to acquire protective orders, streamlining the path to domestic security.

BETHESDA, August 16, 2010 — Today, the Kyle Lierman for Delegate campaign announced that it had raised $106,571 to date from over 475 individual contributors.
